English Speaking 3 is designed for second-year students majoring in English Education and English Linguistics. This is a compulsory course taken in parallel with the English Listening 3, English Writing 3, English Reading 3 courses to develop students' independent speaking skills on many topics with arguments and coherent structures. More specifically, by the end of the course students are expected to be able to connect ideas in presentation and use language fluently and accurately to present the meaning of an event or personal experience, explain and defend their point of view clearly with rigorous and appropriate arguments.

In addition to developing students' speaking skills, the course is to enhance other skills and strategies for students such as teamwork, communication skills, time management, etc.
